The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) is the body responsible for the management and administration of the Nigerian ccTLD .ng (registry).
.GOV.NG is allotted to National, Regional, and Local Government bodies and Agencies in Nigeria in order to protect and promote the .ng registry.
Due to the .GOV.NG being a closed domain extension, there are information required by Nigeria Internet Registration Association.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERING A .GOV.NG DOMAIN NAME
The request should be submitted in form of an authorization letter on an official letterhead duly signed by the head of the institution.
Authorised signatory for a Federal Government requested domain should be the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Secretary/Director-General of the institution registering the domain name.
Authorised signatory for a State Government requested domain should be the Permanent Secretary of the state registering the domain name.
Authorised signatory for a Local Government requested domain should be the Local Government Chairman registering the domain name.
